Coronavirus: Tunisian president speaks with Egyptian, Algerian counterparts on virus

Tunis, Tunisia, April 24 (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisian President Kais Saied has spoken by phone with his Egyptian and Algerian counterparts, Abdel Fattah al-Sissi and Abdelmadjid Tebboune respectively, to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic, a source close to the Tunisian presidency said on Thursday.

 

He discussed with the Egyptian president the Tunisian initiative presented to the UN Security Council to adopt an international approach to the fight against the new coronavirus (COVID-19), because the deadly virus spares no one.

 

The Egyptian president expressed his support for the approach that he believes will enable the united nations to deal with this pandemic that threatens humanity.

 

The Tunisian and Algerian presidents exchanged information on the health situation in the two countries and the living conditions of their respective communities.
