Coronavirus: Ghana's positive cases hit 834

Accra, Ghana, April 19 (Infosplusgabon) - Ghana's positive COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases have climbed to 834 from 641 with nine deaths, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) said here Saturday.

The number of patients that have recovered is now 99, it said, adding that 77 per cent of patients have no travel record.

It said 57,000 samples had been tested as at last Wednesday.

"The general public is, however, advised that this does not represent new infections that are occurring. It represents results from tests of a backlog of samples," the GHS said.
