Coronavirus: Niger records 627 confirmed cases

Niamey, Niger, April 18 (Infosplusgabon) -  Niger has recorded 627 confirmed cases of coronavirus patients, including 18 deaths and 110 cures, according to the latest assessment by the ministry of public health.

Since its emergence in Niger on 19 March 2020, the number of cases has increased, prompting the authorities to take a series of measures to curb the spread of the disease in the country.

A total of 2,435 people tested for coronavirus in Niger, 627 of whom tested positive, the ministry said.

The government has advised people to enforce social distancing and avoid travel.

The toll-free number 15 was made available to the public.
