Coronavirus: Tunisia records 83 hospitalized cases, 25 cured and 25 deaths

Tunis Tunisia, April 11 (Infosplusgabon) - A total of 83 people with coronavirus (Covid-19) out of 643 confirmed cases in Tunisia are currently hospitalized, said a health report of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases, published on Friday on the  website of the Ministry of Health.

While 25 cases were declared cured, 25 others died, said the report explaining that the infections were distributed among 201 imported cases (49% women and 51% men) and 442 local.

According to the report, 59 cases were recorded by medical teams, including 8 imported and 51 local.

The report indicated that most of the cases were recorded in coastal regions, which had 518 patients, 79.8% of the total, while   Jandouba and Siliana regions have so far recorded no case.

According to the Observatory, 9,570 suspected cases have been diagnosed in laboratories, indicating that the average age of infected people is 45 years.
